Mama Lacona’s homepage is not designed extremely bad, however the landing/homepage lacks a call to action to engage customers. When users click on the link they are taken to Mama Lacona’s homepage. The person who would most likely click this ad would be looking for catering or banquet services. The ad below appeared on google when searching for delivery restaurants. Mama Lacona’s restaurant in Urbandale, Iowa is a good example of a business with a bad landing page. If a landing page is confusing, doesn’t have a call to action, links to an unrelated page, or fails to capture the attention of the visitor than the business will miss out on a number of conversions and their conversion rates will decrease, wasting the companies money and time. Companies can use the data collected from the landing page to increase their customer database and analyze the effectiveness of the ad by seeing where the user came from. A conversion can include collecting data on a user through an input form, driving membership to your page, or simply making a sale. ![]() Successful landing pages are important to online ads because they allow easy conversion.
